Components of digital marketing have a huge influence on our day to day life. Nowadays each and every business are coming to the digital to connect with their customer. Because they are realizing the power of digital and internet in the 21st century.

As we know digital marketing helps an organization in many aspects. Through using the digital technology organization able to initiate targeted campaign, one to one communication, instant feedback.

Successful implementation of a digital marketing strategy depends on major components of digital marketing like website, SEO, Content Marketing, Social Media Marketing (SMM), E-mail marketing, Paid Advertising, Marketing Automation, Analytics. To get the highest ROI a business must integrate and initiate these major channels of digital marketing successfully.

Major components of digital marketing are described below-

  1. Website:

Website is one of the best components of digital marketing mix. Because a website can play an important role to promote the products and services of an organization. At present many businesses are treating their website as their virtual identity. There are many organizations doing their business without having any physical office or location. So day by day the emergence, evolution and power of website is rising.

 According to Search Engine Land, Social media marketing refers to the process of gaining traffic or attention through social media sites.

Simply defined, Social media marketing(SMM) means promoting and marketing of products, services and Organizations through social media like  Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Google+, Twitter, LinkedIn etc,

A marketing arrangement by which an online retailer pays commission to an external website for traffic or sales generated from its referrals.

Affiliate marketing is the process of promoting the products and services of a company for a commission.

There are three parties are involved in affiliate marketing. These are

         a. Merchant

         b. Affiliate

         c. Customer

     a.Merchant

Merchant is the advertiser or company who sell the products and services.

     b. Affiliate

Affiliate is the person who sells or promote the products or services.

Whether you are promoting the product of merchant through your blog, YouTube channel, email or advertisement you are an affiliate who helps the merchant to sell the product.

An affiliate can make money through- Pay Per Click(PPC), Pay Per Sale, or Pay Per Lead.

PPC

PPC or Pay Per Click stands for the amount of money paid to an affiliate by the merchant whenever a click on the affiliate link is generated.

CPA

CPA or Cost Per Action refers to the money paid to an affiliate for generating the desired outcome. This action could be signing up to a mailing list or buying a product.

CPC

CPC stands for Cost Per Click and it refers to the money paid to generate a click by a user on your website or link.

 CPM

Cost per Mille (Thousand) refers to the amount of money spent on advertising per 1000 impressions.

Impression

Impression means how many times your ad was shown on a page.

     c. Customer:

A customer is a person to whom an affiliate sells the merchants products.

Finding the right customer is the most important for an affiliate because without customer

Paid advertising is another important component in digital marketing where a company pays to the publisher of their advertisement to increase the visibility.

Because in the 21st century, you cannot expect the customer to find your brand rather you have to find and reach to your customer in a much-targeted way.

Paid advertising, allow you to target one to one. So, It is only possible through paid advertisement.
